(Live Action) Nancy Flanders – Leigh-Allyn Baker said there is a lot of work to be done to counteract the pro-abortion propaganda that exists in the media and Hollywood.

A former Disney actress best known for her role in “Good Luck Charlie” appeared on the “Students for Life Speak Out with Christine Yeargin” podcast, where she spoke about being pro-life after years of being pro-choice.

“So my stance used to be that I believed the propaganda that was given by the media for a long time of that it [abortion] was nothing that I would ever do myself. It was a decision that I would never be able to do that myself,” actress Leigh-Allyn Baker told Yeargin. “But I kind of fell in line with the idea that a bunch of men in Washington, D.C. don’t have the right to make that decision for our bodies. And then I started learning more about the actual process of it. And I started learning more about how the baby actually does feel pain and moves away from the needle and the brutality of the actual experience for the child. And the fact that that is a child. … So yeah, I’m pro-life.”

Abortion procedures are brutal by nature; they are only effective if the baby is dead before being delivered. Abortion procedures, which can be viewed here, kill by starvation, powerful suction that pulls the baby to pieces, dismemberment, and induced cardiac arrest.

Baker went on to say that she has no negative feelings about people who have had abortions. Instead, she said, she has “nothing but compassion for people who have been through that,” including some of her friends.

“It doesn’t mean that I consider myself worthy of sitting in a chair of judgment upon them. Because I don’t,” she said. “I just know that it’s a baby.”

She added that equal rights and equal opportunity exist between men and women and are different from the idea that women can be “the same” as men. “We are not the same as men,” said Baker. “We are given this gift of having life grow in our body and being a vessel to bring it here onto this planet. So we’re not the same, but we do have equal rights. But that’s like saying that a man has the right to kill a baby too. Does a man have a right to walk around and kill a baby? No, they don’t.”

Baker told Yeargin that there is a lot of work to be done to counteract the pro-abortion propaganda that exists in the media and Hollywood. Abortion advocates use “rare” circumstances to justify all abortions and accuse pro-lifers of not having compassion for pregnant women in difficult circumstances, she explained. And, she said, while all abortions are effectively elective, the majority of abortions do not involve pregnancy from rape or medical concerns and that truth must be shared.
