Jean Mondoro – The Catholic nun and apologist had previously launched a LifeFunder with the help of LifeSiteNews to raise money to be able to buy the million-dollar land and structures in Tyler, Texas.

(LifeSiteNews) — Mother Miriam of the religious community Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope has announced the closing of the property on which the sisters will settle into their new home.

During the June 26 episode of Mother Miriam Live, she told listeners that “we were able to close on the property, and I’m flying high.”

The Catholic nun and apologist had previously launched a LifeFunder with the help of LifeSiteNews to raise money to be able to buy the million-dollar land and structures in Tyler, Texas.  

“The world is dying, as you know. Evil is blanketing us, the whole world, and so what’s going on in the Church is worse than what’s going on in the world because it’s the Church,” Mother Miriam said on last Monday’s show. “And so, we just want to put our arms around the world and help with the restoration of God’s design for the family and bring the Gospel to every single creature.” 

With such an urgent mission at hand, the nun explained that the original plan to buy land and build a monastery upon it would take too much time and money. Instead, they “found 86 acres of land for $1.4 million” and, after some negotiations, “were able to get the whole thing” for that price, which she described as “God’s miracle.” 

“The reason we wanted it is because it was an event center here in the Diocese of Tyler and it has two huge structures,” Mother Miriam explained. “One of them was their lodge and it’ll hold thirty sisters. It’s only half built, and we’ll build the other half. … The other building has a huge commercial kitchen and everything we need,” including space to build a chapel. 

The nun added that “I would ask you to not stop” sending donations if listeners are able, to help offset costs of the renovations. 

“It’s truly the providence of God,” she said about the news. “I’ve mentioned before that all I need to know is that we’re in God’s will and I can fly. If I had a $100 million and did not know I was in God’s will, it would mean nothing to me. But to know we’re in God’s will means everything. I desire nothing else.” 

Previously, Mother Miriam told LifeSiteNews that her community was invited to move to the Diocese of Tyler by Bishop Joseph Strickland after they were “thwarted by untraditional bishops” and “put out of two dioceses and off a large radio network.” Since then, “we have heard from over 50 women who wish to enter” the community.

She also shared that renovating the structures on the new property would enable the sisters to “teach families and even have conferences on our grounds” and “help young ladies prepare to be holy women and wives and to help young men to know their calling as priest, provider and head of the family, even as their wives are to be the heart of the home.” 

The Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope are planning to move on July 15. Mother Miriam also mentioned that, once she can return her show to videos instead of audio, she hopes to take her followers on a video tour of the property.
