تكذب وسائل الإعلام الرئيسية.. ولا أفهم لماذا رئيس الوزراء ليس معنا.. وفخور إذ ما وقفت عند قبر قواتنا الكندية التي ماتوا من أجل الحرية.
تحدث أحد المحاربين القدامى في الجيش الكندي إلى Post Millennial ووصف الأجواء المحبة للسلام في أوتاوا خلال عطلة نهاية الأسبوع ، قائلاً “كان الأمر كما لو أن الرب … وضع حاجزًا من الملائكة” حول المظاهرة.
لم يعرّف الرجل عن نفسه ، لكنه كان يرتدي زي القوات المسلحة الكندية وقال إنه حصل على توصية من رئيس أركان الدفاع ، وهي مكافأة تُمنح لأفراد الجيش الذين “يتجاوزون متطلبات الواجب العادي”.
وقال: “إنه لأمر رائع أن نرى كيف يتواجد السلام واللاعنف” في المظاهرة.
وطالب وسائل الإعلام الرئيسية بقولها إن “أشياء سيئة” حدثت أثناء الاحتجاج ، بالنظر إلى الطبيعة السلمية للحدث.
قال: “في أي يوم عادي في أوتاوا ، عندما يكون لديك سائحون ، يكون سلوكك سيئًا أكثر بكثير”.
وقال إن الحدث “وحد الكنديين بطريقة معقولة وسلمية وقانونية” ، ولأول مرة منذ فترة “جعلنا نشعر بالفخر لما ندافع عنه”.
قال: “لا أفهم لماذا رئيس الوزراء ليس معنا”.
قال إنه كتب عددًا من أعضاء البرلمان يشكرهم على دعمهم القافلة ، وأنه وضع الخشخاش التذكاري لأول مرة منذ فترة طويلة نظرًا لفخره مرة أخرى لكونه كنديًا.
كما دعا إلى التشكيك في الخطاب الذي استخدمه جاستن ترودو لوصف سائقي الشاحنات وأنصارهم. بعد أن أمضى بعض الوقت “في الخارج” في خدمة الجنود ودفن الجنود الكنديين القتلى الذين حاربوا الإرهابيين الفعليين ، أعرب عن أن كلمات رئيس الوزراء كانت في غير محلها. “ها أنا أشير ضمنيًا إلى أنني إرهابي؟“
بالنظر إلى أن ترودو رفض التفاوض مع سائقي الشاحنات ، قال إن ذلك يظهر أن ترودو يعتبرهم إرهابيين. قال: “لا تتفاوضوا مع الإرهابيين”.

Former Canadian military chaplain’s take on Freedom Convoy: peace, pride, surrounded by angels
Kennedy Hall – ‘It has made us feel proud about what we stand for. I don’t understand why the Prime Minister is not here with us,’ the veteran said.
A Canadian military veteran spoke to the Post Millennial and described the peace-loving atmosphere in Ottawa over the weekend, saying “it was as if the Lord … put a hedge of angels” around the demonstration.
The man did not identify himself, but he was wearing Canadian Armed Forces attire and said he had received a Chief of the Defence Staff Commendation, which is a reward given to members of the military who go “beyond the demand of normal duty.”
“It is remarkable to see how peace and nonviolence” is present at the demonstration, he said.
He called out the mainstream media for saying “bad things” had happened at the protest, given the peaceful nature of the event.
“On any normal day in Ottawa, when you’ve got tourists, you’d have much more poor behaviour,” he said.
He said the event had “united Canadians in a reasonable, peaceful, legal way,” and for the first time in a while “it has made us feel proud about what we stand for.”
“I don’t understand why the Prime Minister is not here with us,” he said.
He said he wrote a number of Members of Parliament thanking them for supporting the convoy, and that he put on his commemorative poppy for the first time in a long time given how proud he feels again about being Canadian.
He also called into question the rhetoric that Justin Trudeau has used to describe truckers and their supporters. Having spent time “overseas” ministering to soldiers and burying dead Canadian soldiers who fought actual terrorists, he expressed that the words of the Prime Minister were misplaced. “Here I am being implied that I’m a terrorist?”
Given that Trudeau has refused to negotiate with the truckers he said it shows Trudeau sees them as terrorists. “Don’t negotiate with terrorists,” he said.
In spite of Trudeau’s out of touch descriptions of the patriotic movement, the veteran concluded by saying that this is “the proudest” he has been since “standing at the grave of our Canadian forces who have died for freedom.”
