أساقفة الولايات المتحدة الكاتوليك يصلّون لبايدن لكن.. يظل ظلم الإجهاض “أولوية قصوى”..

“فليمنحكم الله القدير الحكمة والقوّة في ممارسة مهامكم”: تلك كانت صلاة البابا التي عبّر عنها في برقيّة بالإنكليزيّة، وجّهها إلى الرئيس السادس والأربعين للولايات المتّحدة الأميركيّة، جوزف بايدن، لمناسبة تنصيبه البارحة الأربعاء 20 كانون الثاني 2021.

وقد ذكّر الأب الأقدس في رسالته بالجذور الأخلاقيّة والمسيحيّة للولايات المتّحدة قائلاً للرئيس: “تحت إدارتكم، فليُتابع الشعب الأميركي اقتصاص قوّته مِن القيم السياسيّة والأخلاقيّة والدينيّة النبيلة التي أوحت للأمّة منذ تأسيسها”، كما كتبت الزميلة أنيتا بوردان من القسم الفرنسيّ في زينيت.

ثمّ دافع البابا عن الأضعف، داعياً الرئيس إلى إظهار “اهتمامه في بناء مجتمع يطبعه العدل والحرّية الأصيلَين، بالإضافة إلى احترام حقوق كلّ إنسان وكرامته، خاصّة الفقراء والضعفاء ومَن لا صوت لهم”.

كما وتمنّى البابا أيضاً للرئيس الجديد “تأييد التفاهم والمصالحة والسلام في الولايات المتّحدة وبين أمم العالم، بهدف جعل الخير المشترك العالمي يتقدّم”.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ البابا فرنسيس التقى “جو” بايدن سنة 2016 في الفاتيكان، وأنّ البابا والرئيس الجديد (الكاثوليكي الثاني بعد جون كينيدي) تبادلا حديثاً هاتفيّاً في 13 تشرين الثاني 2020.

وقد أجل الفاتيكان انتقاد الأساقفة الأمريكيين لموقف بايدن للإجهاض رغم أنّ البيان إيجابيًا في أغلبه لكنه تضمن بعض الانتقادات لسعي بايدن لسياسات تروج لـ “الشرور الأخلاقية”.

أمر الفاتيكان مؤتمر الأساقفة الأمريكيين (USCCB) بالتراجع عن بيان أعده للرئيس القادم جو بايدن. كان البيان إيجابيًا في الغالب ولكنه تضمن بعض الانتقادات لسعي بايدن إلى اتباع سياسات تروج لـ “الشرور الأخلاقية”. وتم تأجيله حتى صدور بيان من البابا فرانسيس في وقت سابق اليوم.

وكان من المقرر إطلاق بيان رئيس الأساقفة خوسيه غوميز رئيس USCCB في الساعة 9 صباحًا اليوم لكن الأساقفة أبلغوا من قبل مسؤولي USCCB أن البيان لا يزال محظورًا.

ذكر موقع The Pillar ، وهو موقع ويب جديد لـ JD Flynn و Ed Condon ، اللذين كانا يعملان سابقًا في وكالة الأنباء الكاثوليكية ، أن “مصادر في أمانة سر دولة الفاتيكان ، وآخرون مقربون من مؤتمر أساقفة الولايات المتحدة ، ومصادر من أساقفة الولايات المتحدة ، أكدت إلى The Pillar أن البيان تم رفعه بعد تدخل من أمانة دولة الفاتيكان ، قبل ساعات من الموعد المقرر لإصداره “.

وجاء في بيان جوميز:

يجب أن أشير إلى أن رئيسنا الجديد قد تعهد باتباع سياسات معينة منها أن تنهض بارور أخلاقية وتهدد حياة الإنسان وكرامته ، والأكثر خطورة في مجالات الإجهاض ومنع الحمل والزواج والجنس – الجندرية. إن حرية الكنيسة وحرية المؤمنين في العيش حسب ضمائرهم مصدر قلق عميق.

وأضافت: “بالنسبة إلى أساقفة الأمة ، يظل استمرار ظلم الإجهاض هو” الأولوية القصوى”.

وتم إصدار بيان غوميز في وقت لاحق من بعد ظهر اليوم بعد إطلاق سراح البابا فرانسيس مشيدًا ببايدن و “عن طيب خاطر” منح بايدن وعائلته ، دون كلمة أو تلميح من الانتقادات لبايدن الذي يدعي أنه كاثوليكي بينما يدفع بالإجهاض والشذوذ الجنسي ومنع الحمل.

نُقل عن الكاردينال تيموثي دولان من نيويورك قوله إن جميع الكاثوليك بحاجة للصلاة ليس فقط من أجل جو بايدن ولكن “مع” جو بايدن أيضًا.

“لا يهمني أين يقف (المؤمن) سياسيًا. نحن مدينون لرئيسنا الجديد بالصلاة معه ومن أجله. ندعو الله أن يقوم بعمله بشرف ونزاهة وعدالة. نسأل الله العظيم أن يبارك رئيسنا الجديد “.

نحتاج أن نصلي من أجله ، نعم ، ولكن ليس معه. يخبرنا الكتاب المقدس أن أولئك الذين يشاركون في الشر – مثل الإجهاض، و “الزواج” المثلي – يجب توبيخهم.

تقول رسالة رومية 16:17 ، “الآن أطلب إليكم ، أيها الإخوة ، أن تميزوا الذين يتسببون في انقسامات وذنوبات تتعارض مع التعليم الذي تعلمتموه. وتجنبهم “.

تنص رسالة كورنثوس الأولى 5:11 ، “ولكني كتبت إليكم الآن ألا تصدقوا ، إذا كان أي رجل يُدعى أخًا زانيًا أو طمعًا أو عابدًا للأوثان أو سكيرًا أو مبتزًا. ؛ مع مثل هذا الشخص لا يأكل “.

2 يوحنا 1: 10 يضيف ، “إذا جاءك أحد ولم يقدم هذا التعليم ، فلا تقبله في بيتك ، ولا تطلب منه أن يسرع في الله.”

تقول رسالة يوحنا الثانية 1:11 ، “لان من يسلم عليه يشترك في اعماله الشريرة.”

نحن بحاجة للصلاة من أجل اهتداء بايدن ، بالإضافة إلى ذلك ، حيث إن أساقفة الولايات المتحدة قد ناشدوه بالفعل عدة مرات لتعديل طرقه ورفض ذلك..

Vatican delays US Bishops’ criticism of Biden’s abortion stance till Pope can praise Biden unconditionally

The statement was mostly positive but did include some criticism of Biden’s pursuit of policies promoting ‘moral evils.’

The Vatican ordered the U.S. Bishops’ Conference (USCCB) to hold back a statement it has prepared incoming President Joe Biden. The statement was mostly positive but did include some criticism of Biden’s pursuit of policies promoting “moral evils.” It was postponed until a statement from Pope Francis was released earlier today. In contrast, his statement contained only praise and blessing for Joe Biden, without a single word of criticism. 

The statement by the USCCB’s President Archbishop José Gómez was to be released at 9am today but bishops were informed by USCCB officials that the statement remained embargoed. 

The Pillar, a new website by JD Flynn and Ed Condon, who were previously employed by Catholic News Agency, reports that “sources in the Vatican Secretariat of State, others close to the U.S. bishops’ conference, and sources among the U.S. bishops, confirmed to The Pillar that the statement was spiked after intervention from the Vatican Secretariat of State, hours before it was due to be released.”

The statement from Gomez read: 

I must point out that our new President has pledged to pursue certain policies that would advance moral evils and threaten human life and dignity, most seriously in the areas of abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender. Of deep concern is the liberty of the Church and the freedom of believers to live according to their consciences. 

“For the nation’s bishops,” it added, “the continued injustice of abortion remains the ‘preeminent priority.”

The Pilar reports that three sources close to the bishops’ conference informed them that objections to the statement’s release came from Cardinal Joseph Tobin of Newark, New Jersey and Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago, Illinois, among other unnamed bishops. 

The statement by Gómez was released later this afternoon after the release from Pope Francis lauding Biden and ‘willingly’ giving a blessing to Biden and his family, without a word or hint of criticism for Biden who claims himself to be a Catholic while pushing abortion, homosexuality and contraception. 

Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York has been quoted as saying all Catholics need to pray not only ‘for’ but ‘with’ Joe Biden.

“I don’t care where you stand on the political spectrum. We owe it to our new president to pray with and for him. We pray that he will do his work with honor, integrity, and justice. We ask that Almighty God bless our new president.” 

We need to pray for him, yes, but not with him. Scripture tells us that those who partake in evil – such as abortion, the LGBT agenda, and homosexual “marriage” – are to be scorned.

Romans 16:17  says, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”
 
1 Corinthians 5:11  states, “But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.”

2 John 1:10 adds, “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed.”
 
2 John 1:11  says, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”
 
We need to pray for the conversion of Biden, in addition, since the bishops of the United States have already appealed to him many times to amend his ways and he has refused, it is time he is excommunicated for his own good and that of the Church.
